The Hot Club of Patan is Nepal's one and only jazz manouche band performing today.

They formed back in 2018 when Riken Maharjan opened the venue "Gypsy Swing Patan" in Patan,Lalitpur (Kathmandu area). Fueled by his love for the gypsy jazz music of the 1930's and 1940's, he opened this restaurant and venue and soon began to attract some of Nepal's most talented musicians. 

Come together under their shared love for the music of Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club Du Paris, the band has been instrumental in disseminating a genre of music that is growing in popularity in Nepal day by day.   

The Hot Club of Patan is telling a story about music, history and social tradition; about the cultural links between the people of two lands, the Nepali people and the Roma people of Europe.
